Interior bedroom, glam and pretty. The geometry of the table and lamp play off the round shapes so nicely, too. And the clock! And the red cord of the lamp next to the red borders of the parasols! Oh, oh.Photo from Living Etc, June 2009.

In this kitchen, designer Richard Mishaan used a narrow green border as a design motif -- see how it bleeds from the walls to the curtains? The curtains and window seat feature a Donghia awning stripe (‘Kauai’ Sunbrella), and the ‘Pudding’ pendant light is by FontanaArte.Photo by William Waldron, Elle Decor, Sept. 2009.

The deliciously enviable dining room of Raji Radhakrishnan, a self-taught Washington D.C.-based designer. The art deco dining table and chairs (from an estate sale) are amboyna wood, a Southeast Asian burl. She found the Gio Ponti console table on maisonettoi.com; it holds Claes Oldenburg’s “Geometric Mouse."Photo by Erik Johnson, Metropolitan Home, Dec. 2008.

The gutsy eclectic mix in the living room of Raji Radhakrishnan, a self-taught Washington D.C.-based designer. A tufted Hickory Chair sofa is paired with an anonymous quirky tripod seat and two sets of vintage chairs: modern Danish armchairs by Ib Kofod-Larsen and English Regency bergeres from a flea market in London’s Portobello Road.Photo by Erik Johnson, Metropolitan Home, Dec. 2008.
